Two Founders, One Desk

SteelySystems is run by its two founders. The same people who trade the tools write the code, run the models, publish the briefs and answer the support email.

Active futures trader with an active career in technology engineering, consulting and leadership. Nate does most of the NinjaTrader 8 development and customization at SteelySystems: the indicators, custom NT8 builds and the AI tooling behind the Decision Intelligence Briefs. He works on SteelyLabs research with Chris, the way the company does: experience, leading AI models for modeling, analysis and development, real trading on his own accounts, and simulation across multiple market data sources.

How We Build

AI in the Workshop. People at the Desk.

We're career technologists and active futures traders, and we use leading AI models heavily, in modeling, analysis and development. That covers the NinjaScript behind the indicators and the custom AI tooling behind the Decision Intelligence Briefs, our education and Helix. AI makes us faster; it doesn't make the calls. We design every tool, test it in simulation across multiple market data sources and in our own trading (live, on prop firm accounts and through traditional brokerages), and we decide what ships.

Our process combines
  • Experience. Career technology work and our own trading shape what we build and why.
  • Leading AI models. Used heavily for modeling, analysis and development, with every output reviewed by us.
  • Real-world trading. We trade our own accounts: live, on prop firm accounts and through traditional brokerages.
  • Simulation. Tools are run in simulation across a range of market data sources before release.

Common Questions

Do you use AI?

Yes, heavily, and on purpose. We use leading AI models and our own custom AI tooling in modeling, analysis and development, including the research behind the DI Briefs and Helix. AI doesn't generate trade signals and doesn't place trades. The indicators run rules we designed and can show on your chart. Everything is tested in simulation and in our own trading before it ships.

Do the founders actually trade?

Yes. We trade our own accounts: live, on prop firm accounts and through traditional brokerages. We don't publish results, and nothing on this site is a performance claim.

Who answers support?

The founders do. Installs, support requests and custom NT8 builds are handled personally. Email [email protected] or join the Discord.
