One Knob, Whole Engine

The Signal Preset is the headline feature. Conservative tightens nine thresholds at once — breakout size, volume multiple, body ratio, retest tolerance, wick pierce and more — for fewer, stricter reads; Aggressive loosens them; Custom opens each threshold for manual tuning.

Auto-Scaling & Alerts

Defaults auto-scale by chart period so they make sense on a 1-minute or a 5-minute chart, with tier-coded sounds, NT8 alert popups, and email alerts.

Reading the Tool

A graded break-and-retest checklist

Confluence checks, tier labels, and presets that control how selective the display is.

Keep in mind: A tier reports agreement with the configured rules. It is not a verified success rate or a recommendation.

What It Does

Anyone can see a breakout. The question is the retest — does price return to the broken level and respect it, or slice straight back through?

SteelyBreakRetest checks the retest against volume, trend, and other configured conditions. The resulting grade describes that agreement; it does not establish the likelihood that price follows through.

And because every trader's tolerance for "clean enough" differs, strictness sits on a single dial — Conservative, Standard, or Aggressive — instead of a dozen thresholds to hand-tune.

The Confluence Stack

Four Votes, Two A+ Checks

Every retest is scored on four votes; two more checks decide A+. The live HUD shows the trend, VWAP, POC and stack reads bar by bar, so most of the checklist is visible before a signal appears.

Stage	What It Checks
Trend (EMA 9 / 20)	Vote: fast EMA above slow (bullish) or below it (bearish).
VWAP	Vote: close on the signal's side of session VWAP.
Retest Volume	Vote: retest bar volume under 85% of the breakout bar's.
POC	Vote: close within 0.5 × ATR of the volume point of control.
Stack Zone	A+ only: level, VWAP and nearer EMA within 0.35 × ATR.
Breakout Volume	A breakout gate, not a vote: volume above a multiple of its recent average.
Pin Bar	A+ only: a pin-bar rejection candle at the retest.

More votes mean a higher tier — A+, PRIME, or STD; A+ also needs the stack zone and a pin bar. The Signal Preset sets how picky the whole engine is, from one dial.

How Traders Use It

For traders who find the raw retest pattern too noisy. The tiering and the one-knob preset turn it into a graded, repeatable read.

Show Only the Top Tier

Require A+ Only limits the chart to A+ setups (all four votes, stack zone and pin bar); with it off, all three tiers show, so what separates them is easy to study.

Strictness in One Move

The Conservative / Standard / Aggressive preset shifts nine thresholds at once; Custom opens each one for fine control when wanted.

Read the Checklist First

The confluence HUD shows Trend, VWAP, EMA, POC, Stack, and Volume bar by bar, so most of the basis for a tier is visible before the marker appears.

What do I need to run SteelyBreakRetest?

NinjaTrader 8, version 8.1.x, on Windows. A live or sim market data connection in NinjaTrader 8. No other SteelySystems indicator is required — every tool runs standalone.

Is SteelyBreakRetest sold on its own?

Yes — $159 one-time as a Standard-tier indicator. It is also included in the Complete Suite ($1,800, all 12 paid indicators plus the free SteelyNewsPanel and SteelyStructure — $2,362 bought one at a time).

How is it delivered and installed?

Checkout runs through Whop. Your license key and the download appear at whop.com/steelysystems (sign in with your checkout email), normally within minutes; the Install guide there walks through setup. Import the file in NinjaTrader 8 via Tools → Import NinjaScript Add-On, enter the key, and add the indicator to a chart. Email install support is included.

How many machines can I use it on?

The license is per user. Install it on any desktop, laptop or VPS that you personally use for your own trading. Sharing the key or the files is not permitted — see the License Agreement.

What does the price include, and what changes on January 1, 2027?

A one-time Founders license with compatibility patches and install support, available through December 31, 2026. From January 1, 2027 new purchases move to a subscription model. Founders keep their one-time licenses and are not required to subscribe.

Can I get a refund?

Do you use AI?
